At Tendo Uganda Mission, our journey began over two decades ago when we recognized the urgent need for positive change within our communities. Our Origins:
Tendo Uganda Mission traces its roots to a humble faith-based organization. Over the years, we have evolved, expanding our horizons to encompass community development projects and human rights protection. This transformation was driven by a deep-seated belief in the power of comprehensive solutions to address the multifaceted challenges facing our society.
Our History
Our journey began over two decades ago when a group of dedicated individuals founded Tendo Uganda Mission in the year 2000. Starting as a faith-based organization, our initial focus was on fostering spiritual growth and faith-based activities to uplift our community. Over time, we recognized the need for comprehensive solutions to address the multifaceted challenges facing Ugandan communities. Thus, our mission evolved to incorporate community development projects and human rights protection, ensuring the rights and dignity of every individual. Our history is marked by milestones that reflect our enduring commitment to education, empowerment, and healthcare, driving us to create a brighter future for all, where every child and youth can thrive and contribute to their community’s development.
Our Core Values
Empowerment: Central to our mission is the empowerment of children and youths. We firmly believe that empowered individuals not only shape their destinies but also the destiny of their communities and nation.
Education: Education is the cornerstone of a brighter future. We are dedicated to providing equitable access to quality education, breaking down barriers that limit educational opportunities for young Ugandans.
Healthcare: Health is wealth. We are committed to ensuring access to physical, mental, and emotional support for the youths in the communities we serve. Our youth-friendly health promotion and protection centers have been instrumental in reducing teenage pregnancies, STDs, and providing crucial support for victims of violence.
